This week has been a lot of fun. For some reason I’m enjoying my days more than I usually do. On Sunday, Elaine came down to hang out with me on a spur of the moment kind of thing. It was really fun. We painted in my backyard under a bright warm sun. I really enjoy doing things like that.

Work has been going well. This week I have less early morning meetings but tomorrow I will have a 6am meeting. Boo! Although I’m busy these days, I’m doing the kind of work I enjoy so it’s ok.
Yesterday I played ultimate frisbee with some coworkers. It was fun but really hot. Well, I guess it wasn’t that hot but we were running a lot. I remember thinking, “wow, my heart is pounding really hard and I can hear how loud it is!” I don’t get this tired in tennis. Maybe I’m lazy when I play tennis? I should try harder next week.
After frisbee I talked to Elaine on the phone for a bit and she told me Atsuko was engaged! It was shocking but kind of expected. I think it’s always surprising when you find out someone you know is getting married. I’m happy for them and I’m sure they will be fine.
When I got back to Walnut Creek, I stopped by the Toyota dealership to buy parts. Oh I haven’t mentioned it yet, but for a week or two, my car has been leaking a little oil. I was going to take it to a mechanic but then, when I was looking around under the hood, I noticed it was all oily on the back side of the cylinder head cover where the valve cover gasket is. I actually bought an engine degreaser to clean everything to determine the leaking point but I decided not to since I might get some water on the electrical components and that would suck. There is a chance the leak is not coming from the valve cover gasket though… since oil stays around for a long time and it could be that someone, like the guys at Jiffy or previous mechanic, spilled some oil back there. I really hope it is the cause though since I already bought the parts (which was not expensive ~$50 total) and I’ll be doing this job on saturday.

After showering, I was lacking energy. I really couldn’t decide what I wanted to make for dinner and I almost decided not to eat anything. But then I remembered, “PASTA!”. I hadn’t had it in a while so it was perfect for a quick, easy meal with meatballs, marinary sauce, and parmesan cheese. I even made enough for left-overs to bring to lunch today. Yay for cheap meals!
Later last night I was downloading some scrapbooking stuff and I saw this challenge I wanted to participate in. Basically I just have to buy one kit ($4), make one 4×6 layout and submit it, and I’ll receive all the participants’ layouts also. This would be great in my case, since I don’t like to spend too much time creating layouts. I can’t wait to see everyone’s layouts. It’s my first time participating in this kind of forum challenge thing but I think it’s really fun. Most likely, I will participate in more. I made my layout last night and here it is: http://www.godigitalscrapbooking.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=27601
